A Little Present for the Future!

One of the best parts about my job is watching the little ones grow. It's so great to have photographs of your kids from  those milestones in their lives. You can never turn back the clock, but it sure is fun to look the pics.

Remember baby Macy?  Well, check her out now!

Gorgeous tummy!

I really do have the greatest job in the entire world. This is Kathleen. She has two tiny miracles getting ready to make their appearances!  We want to wish Kathleen the best in the next couple of weeks. And it is HOT out there. She is already an amazing mommy with a heart of gold!! We can't wait to meet them!

Perfectly Unperfect. -yeah I know

My kids started Kachina Preschool June 2 and it has been a very exciting transition for our family!! My mom and I were so excited their first day it was like we were going to the first day of school ourselves. That's the thing -we always want our children to have these wonderful experiences and be so happy and we really do live vicariously through them at times. Well, my little ones cried so hard I almost cried too. And the teachers assured me that was normal and they would be fine (and that I would be fine too). When we went to pick them up -I could not get them to leave. They wanted to stay! So needless to say they are having a wonderful, nurturing experience and so therefor I am also  having a wonderful nurturing experience. Yeah!!
Of course they still cry at the grocery store. Sienna actually laid down on the floor in a kicking screaming fit (just like the stereotype people who don't have kids make up about other people's kids) and Jon Jon managed to scream a piercing "no" loud enough that got everyone to look. So of course we are not perfect -far from it. But I think we might be perfectly Unperfect. (Yeah I know that's not a word)
Anyhoo... Here's some updated pics of my munchies!!

So sweet!

I had the joy of photographing these two little cuties! Cali and Madison. They are sisters and best friends. We had such a great day at the Boojum Tree.  I want to say thanks to their mom, Carrie who got them up early, fixed their hair and put them in their sweet little dresses! Theses little girls are lucky enough to be belong to the family who runs one of my personal favorite furniture stores:  Huddle Furniture
Seriously if you have not been there, and just walk around the store and be inspired.

Hi Everyone!!

I want all moms out there to Know that not only are you doing the most important job in the entire universe, but that you've all still got it!! I know you're juggling between sleep deprivation, laundry and toys everywhere and you might need a reminder that you are the most gorgeous, hot mom in the entire world!! So here are two of my friends -Kimber and Kat, moms of little ones who I treated to a little hair & make up and some photography to record it!! They are two of the best people I know. Cheers to all you hot mamas!

Easter wishes

Ryder and Sophia were so great! I love shooting them!!

Austin

I love this picture because I feel it really shows Austin's personality. He's heading to film school this fall. Good luck, Austin!

Love it!!

My dad purchased ID tags for my kids (Sienna is 3 and Jon-Jon is 1 1/2). These personalized tags are so cute and so smart. Everyone has been asking me where I got them.

They clip onto a belt loop, zipper, shoelaces or backpack and include parents' names and phone numbers. If you are ever separated from your child, they help with the reunification process.

I love these so much that we are going to try a couple more safety products from this website.

Nolan's smile

Emilee is the proud new mommy of little Nolan. He is an angel who’s smiles fill you with so much joy that you want to cry!

Emily and daddy recently adopted him from Korea and are so excited to share him with the world.

Reagan and Giovanna

Ok -is this not the most gorgeous family ever?? Check out the  lips on baby Giovanna. Can you say Angelina Jolie??  Not to mention Reagan the little glamour girl. Mommy Angela you are in so much trouble in about 15 years.

Welcome Baby Joey

I feel like I have so much to tell and show you since I blogged last. Remember beautiful preggo Sarah? She and her hubby, Jon, have a new addition.

Welcome Joseph!

As you can see by his shirt, dad has big plans for this little boy. What a sweetie!

Something in the water?

The mommies of these beautiful babies, Camille, Addison and Milli, work together in a Scottsdale office. There must be something in the water!  What are the odds -all within a couple of weeks, and all girls.

We had a fabulous morning hanging out on on the couch. Need I say more?

SPA

I know- the title got you thinking about a luxurious resort, massages, mani/pedis and more . . . Sorry to get your hopes up!

I am thrilled to be a member of the Senior Portrait Artists (hence SPA). www.spartists.com  At the end of January, I attended their conference at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in sunny Tucson. The goal of the conference (and the organization, in general) is to "equip and inspire senior portrait photographers."

Some of the highlights of the weekend included:

  • the 4th annual Lights.Camera.Fashion.™ Show by Sara Lebovitz showcasing the best new styles for Spring and Fall 2008
  • the Image Competition (I had an entry in consideration!!)
  • a fashion photoshoot with SPA models
  • plus, loads of great and inspiring classes

Check out some of the images that I got from the photoshoot-

I came home so inspired and excited about photographing the class of 2009 that I can hardly wait. I have tons of great ideas. Let's get started!!

Todd and Katie

MHF took these engagement photos of Todd and Katie recently. Aren't they beautiful?

It was such a gorgeous day at Las Sendas which made for a great (and very fun) shoot. Despite the fact that Katie almost fell in the fountain, we had a great time and are very excited for their wedding in April.
